OCIS Attends 2018-2019 Middle School Leadership Institute
On January 3rd, nine Ocean City Intermediate School students joined dozens of middle school students from across the state at the 2018-2019 Middle School Leadership Institute – “Building Bridges to Success” held at the Camden County College in Blackwood, NJ. The students, under the leadership of guidance counselor Shannon Pruitt and teacher Cholehna Weaver, were enlightened on how to effectively address the current challenges they may face in school and in life, with hopes of empowering them to make sound and success-producing decisions about their futures. The students attended breakout sessions, heard national speakers, and attended workshops designed to develop leadership skills, foster personal leadership development, while establishing meaningful continuing leadership activities back in the Intermediate School.
