FERPA: The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords parents and students who are 18 years of age or older ("eligible students") certain rights with respect to the student's education records. These rights are outlined in our Board Policy #8335 Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act - click here. Notice of this Policy is sent out annually to students and parents in each school's student handbook.
PPRA: The Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA) requires written consent for certain pupil surveys, analysis and/or evaluations funded in whole or in part by a program of the United States Department of Education.
